"Rona" Our Moody S31 is a spacious, friendly yacht that provides both

comfort & performance.

"Rona" is new to SeaSpray for 2022 and has been fully and lovingly updated. Launched in 1997, she has spent her life

in Northern Ireland and on the West coast of Scotland. However, she is in phenomenal condition for her age.

Easy to handle under sail and power, "Rona" is a pleasure to manoeuvre both in marinas and at sea.

She will cruise over long distances at up to 6kts or more under sail or power and has proved herself well capable of handling strong winds, big seas and is  easy to berth.

She is easy to access from the pontoon with wide gates on both sides and the fold down transom step

provides easy access from the stern.

The tough Avon Redcrest dinghy is fitted with a 2.5HP Suzuki 4 stroke outboard.

It can be stowed inflated across the transom outside the cockpit ready to go.

Access to the dinghy from the transom when going ashore is very easy & safe.

There is a choice of sails that we are still assessing as it would be difficult to keep all onboard. The sails that are mainly in use are the No. 1 Genoa from Crusader Sails and The Mainsail from Saturn Sails. There are additional genoas and two spinnakers which have been lightly used. Both the No.1 Genoa and the Mainsail are well maintained and in good condition. The Main is fitted with a stack pack and cover and is easy to handle with 2 line slab reefing. All the lines are led back to the cockpit area for ease of use and Crew Security.

There is a 11Kg Lewmar Delta Anchor with 55 metres of 8mm chain and a South Pacific Electric Windlass.

"Rona" has tiller steering and a good set of Raymarine ST50 wind, depth & boat speed instruments and a wind plus ST 400 autopilot in the cockpit. There is a Navman colour plotter and a Garmin 152 at the charter table.

The original batteries have been upgraded to a dedicated start battery and two domestic batteries.

The Main Cabin is really spacious, very snug and full of character. The fore cabin is a quite reasonable size and the rear master cabin is very large, spanning the whole width of the boat. Two additional berths can be used in the Saloon.

The large heads/wet-room includes a shower but if you prefer your water salty (and cold !) she also has an easy-to-use drop-down transom with bathing platform and ladder.

The cooker has 2 burner rings, a grill and oven.

She has a pressurised hot and cold water system, heated from either the engine or shore power immersion heater, and her central heating will keep her cosy even on cooler nights.

To give you an idea of the reliability we expect we can highlight the most recent work done on

"Rona" our Moody S31.

Recently the  Rudder bearings were replaced, a New Engine Start Battery and new throttle lever were fitted.

The addition of New Barton Boom Strut ensures that there is a good backup to the topping lift.

The No 1 roller reefing dacron genoa by Crusader was recently serviced, and had new UV protection

by Owen Sails, Scotlands Premier Sailmaker.

It is worth noting that there is a good selection of Genoa Sails and tri-radial Spinnaker Sails.

Please request further information if you would like any particular Sail on board.

New Acrilic in hatches, windows and portlights, & new Planar heating were all fitted in 2019.

Her accommodation is very versatile - 2 doubles and 2 singles. The front cabin  is reasonably large, The main cabin will accommodate 2 crew comfortably , one to port and one to starboard.  The rear master cabin is superb and provides  excellent accommodation.

There is a DSC VHF radio, a handheld VHF, and a  Radio/CD player in the saloon.

The Engine Starting Battery is independent of the domestic battery bank and ensures reliable starting regardless of the state of charge in the domestic bank.

A small 240v invertor allows recharging of mobile phones and laptops whilst underway.

All-in-all "Rona" our Moody S31 offers a great balance between comfort below and

performance sailing, particularly for a boat of only 31 ft.

We hope that you will enjoy your time on her !
